Contract law is mainly on how agreements are formed and for the agreements to be valid, offer and acceptance, consideration, intention to create legal relations and capacity are the necessary elements. Those topics are tested individually and may be tested together as well in exams.
Apart from that, understanding vitiating factors such as misrepresentation and mistake is key in cases involving fraudsters.
Lastly, knowing and understanding the remedies that can be claimed such as the damages, specific performance and prohibitory injunction are necessary since claimants are more interested in remedies for breach of contact rather than the operation of law in many practical circumstances.

English legal system is the base for many basic law subjects and even the Malaysian legal system. To understand this area, there is a need to master on the sources of law in the England and they are the common law, statutes, delegated legislation, case law, statutory interpretation and etc.
Next, the operation of criminal and civil courts as well as bail applications and criteria shall be learnt in depth to have the necessary confidence in answering exam questions. Criminal Law is often the interests of many but sometimes it can be very difficult because proper statutes, case laws and quotes must be cited for your answers to stand out.
For that, the book has 18 topics. It starts with actus reus followed by mens rea. The topic of homicide and the partial defences have been examined in detail here.
Sexual offences and offences against persons as well as property offences such as theft, making off without payment, fraud, burglary and robbery have also been analysed. Sample questions and answers are put in for further reading.
General defences such as insanity, automatism, intoxication, necessity and self defence have also been discussed so that the questions on defences can also be attempted with full confidence by students in exams.
